Summer Down got a makeover in 2022 and it's ready for your beach vibes! Our Bald Head Island gem now flaunts new floor, modern lighting, and comfortable furnishings. Appreciate three 65-inch intelligent TVs, chic bathrooms, and fab coastal decor. The villa is a short walk from the beach and Bald Head Island Club. With three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a super outdoor space, it's ideal for your family. The master has a king bed, the guest has a queen, and the third bedroom rocks two sets of bunk beds. We've got a pack n play, crock pot, 4 beach chairs, two golf carts for island cruising, an electric grille, and both a Keurig and regular coffee maker. Come experience our slice of heaven!

Located in Bald Head Island, this villa is near the beach. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at The Clubs at St. James and Southport Marina. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting. Get the most from your rental home budget:

Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
• Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
• Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.

• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
• Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
• Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
