Welcome to Papa's Porch 2.0! - New construction in 2024With 8 bedrooms and an elevator servicing all levels, the home is ideal for multi-generational families or other enormous groups. The home is located on West First St with spectacular, unobstructed vistas of the ocean. From 2009-2020, we owned another 8 bedroom home at Ocean Isle Beach and earned over 110 5-star reviews from our Vrbo guests. We took all the things we adored about that home, made them bigger and better, and added some things from our wish list. You can see the old home here, and we're responsible for all the reviews from December 2020 back: https://www.vrbo.com/2573689 The 4th (top) floor hosts the main living room with ample comfortable seating, an 85-inch Sony UHD 4K TV and a bar area with a wine refrigerator. The kitchen and dining area is located on the top floor, with a dining table that seats 10 and bar seating for 9 more. The top floor also contains a king bedroom with private bath, as well as a full-size laundry room with a second refrigerator, washer and dryer and an ice maker that stores 25 pounds of fresh ice. The 4th floor deck has an outdoor dining table, ceiling fans and plenty of comfortable seating for taking in the gorgeous ocean vistas.On the 3rd floor (middle) you will find a second huge living room, a king bedroom with private bath, and another king bedroom that shares a Jack-n-Jill bath with the bunkroom. Each side of the Jack-n-Jill has its own sink and toilet, connected by a shared shower/tub combo. The bunkroom contains 2 full-over-full beds. The living room has a 75-inch Sony UHD 4K TV. The phenomenal ocean vistas can be seen from the 3rd floor deck which has rocking chairs and a swinging day bed.The 2nd (bottom) floor contains four king bedrooms, 2 of which have ocean vistas. All 4 first floor bedrooms have private baths and TVs. The 2nd floor also contains another full-size laundry room with the same 7.4 cubic ft GE washer and 4.5 cubic ft GE dryer located in the top floor laundry. Both contain an iron and ironing board and we provide laundry detergent and dryer sheets.The ground level has an 8' x 18' private pool. (Modest, we know, but big pools at OIB are nearly non-existent because the lot sizes are so modest. If you are training for an Olympic swimming event, then our home may not be for you, but if you just need to take a dip every so often to cool off while you are laying out, then we have what you need). The pool can be heated in the spring and fall, and because it's modest, it can essentially serve as a humongous hot tub. The outdoor living space contains a lounge area with a TV and a gas grille, and the huge side yard is the ideal place for a game of cornhole. There is an enclosed outdoor shower with hot water.In November 2024, we installed a Tesla Universal Wall Connector that provides Level 2 charging to Teslas and most non-Tesla EVs.So you can pack a little lighter, we provide a beach cart for transporting chairs, coolers and other beach gear. The ground floor also contains enclosed storage space for your gear when not in use as well as another full-size refrigerator.Linens are supplied at no additional charge -- 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, 1 washcloth for each guest, sheets and pillowcases on each bed. We supply our own linens, so they are not the see-through kind you get from rental companies.We have 1GB mesh WiFi through the home and outdoor living area. All bedrooms except the kids' bunkroom have Roku TVs so you can login to your favorite streaming app. The home also has 100+ channel cable TV. The kitchen contains a 5-burner cooktop with pot filler, oven, microwave, 2 dishwashers, 2 fridges, a walk-in pantry, 2 coffee makers and a Keurig machine with a starter supply of K-cups. The sizable kitchen island has a prep sink and barstool seating for 6. It is an simple walk to the Friday nighttime concerts in the park.The 'Seawitch', aptly named, because that is what my grandmother said she looked like as she came up out of the water from a swim, is a gorgeous, family aligned, lovingly cared for, bungalow style OCEAN FRONT PROPERTY at Ocean Isle Beach, NC. This five bedroom bungalow has two bedrooms with one queen-sized bed each, two bedrooms with one queen and one double bed, and one bedroom with two double beds each for a total capacity of 16 plus a infant bed in one of the rooms. The bungalow has three bathrooms upstairs, a outside enclosed shower downstairs, and a place to rinse off on the pier.The real luxury of the home though is the front porch and deck area with its rocking chairs, picnic table, and loungers. Feel the ocean breezes flow over you as your cares slip away. No need to stake your claim by arriving to the beach in the early hours of the morning, as we are on a less busy area of the beach, so you can just walk off our pier and set up your beach chairs whenever you are ready. Then, once you have had enough sun and fun for the day, run off the beach and straight up to your bungalow, take a shower in the outside shower, and sit in a rocking chair until you dry off from your swim. The clothes line is usually seen with towels and bathing suits flapping in the wind.Make yourself some 'Frogmore Stew', throw it out on some newspapers on the sizable dining room table and tell the kids to dig in. Hang up some event lights and dance on the deck to some Jimmy Buffett as the sun sets in the distance. This is the bungalow to take you back to a simpler time!This home is well supplied with items that many of the units do not include. The kitchen is entirely outfitted with enough dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, etc. to feed enormous family. Myrtle Beach is only 20 - 30 mins. south, and Wilmington 45 mins. north on Hwy 17. Calabash is known for the best seafood in the nation and it is a mere 10 mins. away. If you want to catch a movie, you can head to North Myrtle Beach. Golfers, there are golf courses all around you. Adventurers you can head out to The Swamp Park on Airport Road to go on a guided ATV or Swamp boat tour or even Zip Line. Historic Southport, NC is only 35 mins. away. When we are sunburnt we forgo the beach and catch the Ferry at Southport to Fort Fisher. You will not run out of things to do.
