Welcome to your BHI beach front escape! Starrush Sanctuary is 3 BR 3.5 bath beach front home that is ideal for your family hideaway to BHI. Don't want to lug kids and supplies in golf carts to the beach? You've found your place. This home is directly across from a public beach access. You can hear the waves crash from the front porch where you can appreciate your morning coffee.

This property is undergoing a full-scale remodel to be finished mid-June of 2024 (that is why there are not many photos on this posting)! All construction is planned to be finished by mid-June with all furnishings to be delivered by July 1st. No expense was spared in this renovation to create a vibrant, fresh, and clean ambiance! You will be one of the first to savor the space in this impressive home. One may think that there is a chance the renovations run behind, and your trip may not able to occur. Not to worry, the bookings are opened up on July 13 to give a full month for any late construction additions to be finished. The property will be in ideal rental condition for your summer stay.

This home is the ideal size for two families. Note that while the home sleeps 10 people, she's best suited for two families with 4 adults and 4-6 kids.

The first-floor bedroom is enormous and holds full beds and a twin trundle. The bathroom is huge and completely refreshed. The top floor contains two rooms. One holds a queen and is very peaceful. The second room is the "master" room with a queen bed that faces the ocean, and this room can see the ocean over the dune. If your dream is to wake up to see the ocean, you are in the right place. Both upstairs rooms contain "en suite" bathrooms.

The front porch is a dream that has seating that faces the ocean for your ideal sunset beverage or meal while hearing the ocean waves crash. There is also a screened in porch in the family room that is ideal for morning coffee or calming.

This property does have access to the BHI club for an additional cost. You sign up through the BHI club website and the property will appear. The property does come with 2 golf carts. One is a four-seater and one is a two-seater; however, the two seater will likely be upgraded to a four-seater.

Other than the property being close to the beach, it is in very close proximity to the BHI Club clubhouse and the port where the ferry arrives. The location could not be better for your late evening drives to the clubhouse for dinner or arriving on the tram after a long travel day. The location of this property on the island is second to none and is probably one of the most elegant features of the property.

You have found your beach getaway for your summer trip!

Getting the best Southport vacation home experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • In the Southport area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Bald Head Island. Booking in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Southport area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best vacation rental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 1 MINUTUE WALK TO BEACH FROM BHI BEACH FRONT HOME has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
