The beaches on the West End of Holden Beach are peaceful and wide. There is always room to throw a ball or Frisbee even on the busiest week of the year. Morning and evening walks are relaxing and calming. You will escape from your anxiety at Holden Beach.

Unwind and appreciate: Unwind and enjoy the rockers on the porch or the swings underneath the home. Inside you'll find a cavernous living area (roughly 1800 sq. ft of living space) with refreshed and tasteful decorations throughout.

Our property is very private, yet you're next to the beach, You will appreciate the location of our home. The beach has been maintained through the years as a family beach with little commercial emphasis.

Holden Beach is still a well-kept secret, perhaps not for long. National Geographic Intelligent Traveler magazine freshly ranked Holden Beach among it's top 10 'Finest Family Beaches' category. Additionally, AAA Beach Vacation Travel Journal newly ranked H.B. one of their 'Top 30 Beaches' overall. H.B. offers a great alternative to the hordes and commercialism of close by N. Myrtle Beach, which is only roughly 30 miles away.

Booking the best Southport rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Southport area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Holden Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Southport attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Southport area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • To start, have your family agree to the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 4 Bd\/3+ Ba West side duplex: Gated community; quiet, exclusive, relaxing, family has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. message the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
