How to book the best vacation home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Book your Southport vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Casa Bianca: Oceanfront Home Near the Point on the West End has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
