Located right downtown in a striking historic row of mansions, you'll find this condo has old world appeal paired with modern amenities. The vintage wood floors, baseboards, windows and decorative non-working fireplace take you back in time to the 1800's, but the comfortable furnishings, clean ambiance, outfitted kitchen, cozy bed, intelligent TV, and wifi meet today's traveler's needs. This condo is one of five in a enormous historic home on Front Street.

Your condo is private with a private entrance, and is one of 5 is an marvelous historic home. You can chill out on the balcony near your door or sit outside in backyard on the patio. You'll have access to a shared laundry room with coin operated machines inside. You'll also get one parking pass to park a normal size car or modest pickup behind the home (complimentary parking in downtown Wilmington!!)

This condo is located in arguably the nicest block of Old Wilmington's historic mansion district. The architecture around the neighborhood is gorgeous, with mansions and sizable single family homes. Treat yourself to downtown's best.

If you walk out the front door onto Front Street, you'll see the glamorous Dudley Mansion from 1825, a impressive 10,000 sq ft estate that was home to North Carolina's first Governor. If you walk out the back door and down the cozy alley driveway to 2nd Street, you'll see block after block of pretty Victorian homes. If you adore old homes and turn of the century architecture, be sure to make some time to take it in!

Just walk!!! You're very close to eateries, shopping, nightlife, entertainment, the waterfront and riverwalk, museums, and ghost tours!

Parking:
Free parking behind the home: You have one (1) complimentary parking spot! The alley entrance to the parking area is 9 feet wide. That means you cannot fit a huge work van or a big work truck and trailers are not allowed.

Free Parking on the Street: Everyone in Wilmington knows that street parking is a drag unless you know a local with a Historic District Parking Pass. Now you do. If your truck is too big, or you need more than one space we can get you a parking pass. Contact us, pay a $50.00 deposit (returned when the pass is returned) and you'll get a parking pass that you can use on any non metered space downtown and park complimentary!!

Laundry:
There is an on site laundry facility. We try and keep soaps in there in case you need some. The machines and the laundry room are shared with the other guests but are seldom in use.

Checkout:
Checkout is 11am, but we can offer late checkout as availability accepts. 12pm checkout is $20, and 1pm checkout is $30. Please contact us first and if we can accommodate your late checkout, we will be happy to.

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • To get the best vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Southport attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Southport area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.   • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective.
